Digital Poetics: Introduction

Description: This course serves as an introduction to digital literature, with a specific focus on poetry. During the course of the session we will examine a variety of digital forms of literature, from hypertext, interactive, and audio/video poetry to videogame, social media, and code-based poetries. We will view, experience, and immerse ourselves in these digital works while exploring our own poetry through multiple modes of digital creation. To get a sense of the type of work will be viewing and creating, please visit the multimedia section of Francesco’s website or the Electronic Literature Collection at the Electronic Literature Organization.
