Weekly Salon – Online

The Weekly Salon is an informal gathering designed to allow students to critically examine their works in progress. Through instructor-led close readings and in-depth discussion of the work of their peers students will come to a deeper understanding of the poetics of their group and via this process of their own aesthetic choices.

In addition, the Weekly Salon contains an optional writing component that features weekly writing prompts and exercises culled from our other online workshops. Students can use these to explore the various poetic strategies taught at the school within the open structure of the Salon.

Students are encouraged to bring work in various stages of completeness, but not yet in themselves complete. The Salon is meant to give students the feedback, support, and space they need to refine their work towards publication.

The pricing structure and attendance of the Weekly Salon is designed to be flexible. Each Weekly Salon is an individual workshop. Purchase as many workshops as you need and attend according to your own schedule. For example, you can attend every week, every other week, once a month, or any combination that best suits your needs.

To purchase Weekly Salon Workshops just select your pricing option in the righthand column and click the Register! button. All purchased workshops must be used within a year of the purchase date.

Please note: In order to give the instructor and other participants adequate time to review your work and prepare for each Salon please sign-up to, and email your poem for, the Salon you plan to attend no later than one week prior to that Salon.

Workshop Location
